There is something rather special about seeing Kilminorth come to life throughout the year. Of course, we are first and foremost a place for staycations, weddings, family gatherings and countryside escapes, but throughout the seasons, our events bring something extra to our corner of Cornwall.
This year, we have a full calendar of events to look forward to, from wedding inspiration and live music to family fun, feast nights, RNLI fundraisers and one of our favourite traditions of all, the Dog Pool Party.
Whether you are staying with us on-site, live locally, or simply fancy popping along to experience Kilminorth for yourself, our events are open to everyone. They are relaxed, welcoming and always full of that Kilminorth charm we love so much.
We begin the season with our Wedding Open Day on 3rd May, welcoming couples, families and suppliers to explore the venue, meet the team and picture what their wedding day could look like here. Wedding Open Days are always a lovely opportunity to show Kilminorth at its best. From Chy Hos and the marquee to the cottages, gardens and wider grounds, it gives couples a chance to wander, chat, ask questions and imagine their own celebration taking shape.
On 22nd May, we will be hosting Music in the Meadow with True Foxes, supporting the RNLI. It will be a brilliant evening of live music, good food, community spirit and relaxed family-friendly fun. Blankets on the meadow, children playing, dogs happily roaming, music drifting through the valley and everyone gathering together for such an important cause. It will be the first of our RNLI fundraising events this year, and it will set the tone beautifully.

Next, we look ahead to the RNLI Arts & Crafts Fair on 2nd August. This will be a lovely daytime event, bringing together local makers, creatives, small businesses and supporters of the RNLI. It is a chance to browse stalls, discover handmade pieces, enjoy the surroundings and support Looe Lifeboat Station at the same time. We love events that bring local people together, and this one feels like a perfect summer celebration of community and creativity.

Then comes our Summer Feast on 7th August. Feast nights at Kilminorth are always full of atmosphere. They are about more than just food. They are about gathering together, making the most of the summer evening, enjoying alfresco dining and sharing something delicious with friends, family and fellow guests. The Summer Feast is a chance to slow down, sit back and enjoy the kind of evening that feels wonderfully relaxed and full of warmth.

On 22nd August, we welcome back one of our RNLI events with RNLI Presents PROMS. This will be another special evening raising funds for Looe Lifeboat Station, bringing people together through music, celebration and community spirit. There is something so lovely about events with a purpose, especially when that purpose is supporting a charity that means so much to coastal communities like ours.

Our Family Fun Day on 31st August is exactly what it sounds like. A day for families, children, guests and locals to enjoy Kilminorth in a fun and relaxed way. These kinds of days are what summer is all about. Space to play, time to gather, something for everyone and plenty of reasons to enjoy being outdoors. Kilminorth has always been a place for families, and this event celebrates that completely.

As summer begins to shift into autumn, we have our Autumn Roast Feast on 25th August. There is something so comforting about a roast feast as the seasons change. After the bright, busy feel of summer, autumn brings a slower kind of magic. Cosy evenings, hearty food, rich flavours and that lovely feeling of coming together around the table. It is the perfect way to mark the change in season.

Finally, one of the most joyful events in the Kilminorth calendar returns on 11th October, our Dog Pool Party. It is always a favourite. As the pool season comes to an end, we invite our four-legged friends to have their moment. Dogs splashing, owners laughing, wagging tails everywhere and absolute chaos in the best possible way. It sums up our love for dogs perfectly. They are not just allowed here, they are very much part of the Kilminorth family.

What makes this year’s event calendar feel so special is the variety. There is something for couples planning their wedding, families looking for fun, locals wanting to support community events, guests staying on-site and anyone who simply wants to enjoy Kilminorth for a few hours.
Our events are open to guests, locals and those who want to pop along and experience Kilminorth, with a little something for everyone, from good food and live music to family-friendly fun, community spirit and plenty of reasons to gather together.
We are so proud of the year ahead and cannot wait to welcome you to one, two or maybe even all of our events.
Tickets and details can be found via our website. We hope to see you this event season.
