There is something timeless about gathering around food.
Whether it is a long summer table, a cosy autumn roast, a family meal, a celebration with friends or an evening shared with people you have only just met, food has a way of bringing everyone together. It slows things down. It gives people a reason to sit, talk, laugh and enjoy the moment. That is exactly what our feast nights at Kilminorth are all about.
This year, we are looking forward to two special feast events, our Summer Feast on 7th August and our Autumn Roast Feast on 25th August. Both will bring their own seasonal feel, but both are rooted in the same idea: good food, good company and the beautiful Kilminorth setting.

Feast nights are not just about what is on the plate, although that is certainly important. They are about the atmosphere. They are about the feeling of arriving, settling in and knowing you are in for a lovely evening. They are about guests, locals and visitors coming together in a relaxed, welcoming space.
Kilminorth has always been a place for gathering. weddings, holidays, family stays, celebrations, events, quiet escapes, it all happens here. Feast nights feel like a natural extension of that. They give people a chance to enjoy the site in a slightly different way, whether they are staying with us or simply joining us for the evening.
The Summer Feast is all about making the most of the season. Long days, warm evenings, countryside views and that lovely holiday feeling that arrives in August. It is the kind of event that invites you to slow down, enjoy your surroundings and spend time around the table. Summer evenings in Cornwall are special. The light lingers a little longer, people are more relaxed, and there is a sense that the day does not need to end too quickly. A summer feast gives everyone a reason to pause and enjoy that. It is simple, but in the best way.

We imagine guests arriving after a day at the beach or by the pool, locals popping in to enjoy the evening, families gathering together and friends catching up over food. There is no need for formality. Just a warm welcome, a beautiful setting and a meal made for sharing.
Then, as the season begins to shift, our Autumn Roast Feast brings a different kind of charm. Autumn at Kilminorth is beautiful. The colours change, the air feels a little fresher, and the site takes on a cosier feel. A roast feast feels like the perfect way to celebrate that. There is something deeply comforting about a roast. It feels familiar, generous and full of warmth. It is the kind of meal that makes people settle in and stay a little longer. After the brightness and busyness of summer, autumn invites a slower pace, and our Autumn Roast Feast is a lovely way to lean into that.
Feast nights also give us a chance to welcome people who may not have experienced Kilminorth before. You do not have to be staying here to come along. Our events are open to guests on-site, local people and those who simply want to pop along and enjoy the atmosphere. That is something we really value. Kilminorth is tucked away, but it is not closed off. We love opening the space for events that bring people together, whether that is for music, charity, family fun or food.
The setting plays such a big part in the experience. Kilminorth is surrounded by countryside, with cottages, open spaces and a sense of calm that makes events feel relaxed rather than rushed. It is not a stiff or overly formal environment. It is somewhere people can feel comfortable. That is what makes feast nights work so well here. They do not need to be complicated. The beauty is in the simplicity: a lovely location, seasonal food, friendly faces and time to enjoy it all.
For guests staying on-site, a feast night can become a highlight of their holiday. Instead of heading out or cooking in the cottage, they can enjoy an evening event right here at Kilminorth. It adds something memorable to their stay and gives them a chance to experience the community feel of the site. For locals, it is a lovely reason to visit. Many people know Kilminorth as a wedding venue or holiday cottage destination, but our events offer a chance to enjoy it in a more casual way. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere and experience a little piece of Kilminorth life. For families and groups, feast nights make things easy. Everyone can gather, eat and enjoy themselves without overthinking the evening. There is something for all generations in the simple joy of a shared meal.
We also love how food creates conversation. It brings together people who may not otherwise meet. Guests staying in different cottages, locals, families, couples, friends and visitors all find themselves part of the same evening. That is the magic of events like these.
In a world that often feels busy and rushed, there is something wonderful about sitting down to eat together in a beautiful place.
That is what we hope our feast nights offer. A chance to gather. A chance to enjoy. A chance to celebrate the season. Whether you join us for the Summer Feast, the Autumn Roast Feast, or both, we would love to welcome you.
