Explore picturesque Cornish villages
We are situated near some of the most beautiful villages in the UK, including Polperro, Portloe and Fowey, with Padstow placed a little further away as a perfect day trip from our cottages. Wander through winding narrow streets, lined with tightly clustered houses and toppling rooftops, creating a charming and picturesque labyrinth. You can easily spend a whole day exploring historic pathways, soaking in the unique atmosphere and enjoying some of the delicious local restaurants and cosy pubs along the way.
Stay close to home and explore Looe
If you’re looking for a retreat without lots of travel, Looe is right on the doorstep and has plenty to offer. It’s a 6-minute drive or 45-minute walk from your cottage. Spend a delightful day at Looe beach, where you can enjoy building sandcastles, playing beach games, and taking a refreshing dip in the sea. Looe is known for its sandy shores, making it a perfect spot for a family beach day or for a romantic walk along the sands before enjoying a delicious meal in one of our popular local restaurants.
You could take a boat trip to Looe Island and visit the designated nature reserve, with rich wildlife and stunning scenery. The island is a great place for birdwatching, and guided tours provide insights into its history and conservation.
If you fancy a family day out, you could also head to The Monkey Sanctuary, where you can observe rescued monkeys in a natural and ethical environment. Children will enjoy learning about primate conservation, participate in educational activities, and enjoy a day surrounded by playful monkeys.
