June is Pride Month, and while it is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate love, identity and inclusion, we believe the message behind Pride belongs all year round.
At Kilminorth, weddings are about people. They are about love in all its forms, about families coming together, about friends celebrating side by side, and about couples creating a day that feels completely true to them. No two weddings here are ever the same, and that is exactly how it should be.
We are proud to be a wedding venue where everyone is welcome. Not just during Pride Month, not just when Pride is being spoken about publicly, but every single day of the year.

Kilminorth has always had a relaxed, personal and slightly magical feel. We are not a formal, one-size-fits-all kind of venue. We are a place where couples can shape their celebration around who they are. Whether that means an intimate gathering, a big countryside wedding, a dog-friendly day, a weekend celebration with loved ones staying on-site, or something completely unique, we love seeing couples make the space their own. That freedom is such an important part of feeling welcome. A wedding should never feel like a performance of what people think it “should” be. It should feel like a celebration of the couple at the centre of it all. Their story, their people, their style, their joy.

Pride Month is a lovely reminder of how important it is for every couple to feel seen, respected and celebrated. For LGBTQIA+ couples, choosing a wedding venue is about more than how a place looks. It is about how it feels. It is about knowing that you will be welcomed with genuine warmth, that your relationship will be celebrated without question, and that your wedding day will be treated with the same excitement, care and joy as anyone else’s. That should be the standard everywhere, but we know how much it matters to say it clearly. For us, this is personal too. Kilminorth is proudly LGBTQIA+ owned, and inclusion is not something we talk about only during Pride Month. It is part of who we are, and part of the welcome we hope every couple feels from the moment they arrive.
At Kilminorth, love is love, and everyone is welcome. Our setting offers couples so many ways to celebrate. Chy Hos provides a beautiful ceremony space, the marquee gives that wonderful countryside wedding atmosphere, and the surrounding grounds create endless opportunities for photographs, drinks, music and relaxed time with guests. The cottages also mean family and friends can stay close by, turning a wedding day into more of a shared experience.
There is something very special about a wedding where loved ones are not rushing off at the end of the night. Instead, they can stay, wake up on-site, have breakfast together, talk about the day before and enjoy the feeling of being part of something bigger than just a few hours. For many couples, that is what makes Kilminorth feel different. It is not simply a venue. It is a place to gather. A place where the people closest to you can settle in, relax and be part of the celebration from start to finish.

We also love the personal touches that couples bring to their weddings here. Bright florals, handwritten vows, festival-style weekends, dogs walking down the aisle, emotional speeches, colourful outfits, quiet moments, wild dancing, family traditions, chosen family, new traditions and everything in between. Those details are what make weddings feel alive. They are what turn a beautiful setting into a day that belongs completely to the couple.
Pride Month also reminds us that weddings are not just about romance. They are about belonging. They are about being surrounded by people who love and support you. They are about being able to stand together openly and joyfully, exactly as you are. That sense of belonging is something we care deeply about at Kilminorth. We want couples and guests to feel comfortable here. We want people to arrive and feel that they can relax into the space. We want every wedding to feel warm, welcoming and personal.
We know that wedding planning can feel overwhelming at times. There are decisions to make, suppliers to choose, timelines to consider and plenty of opinions along the way. But at the heart of it all, the most important thing is simple. Two people choosing to celebrate their love in a way that feels right for them.
That is what we love most. So this Pride Month, we are celebrating love, individuality, inclusion and all the wonderful couples who choose to say yes to a life together.Whether your wedding is big or small, colourful or understated, traditional or completely different, we would be honoured to be part of it.
Kilminorth is a place for love stories of all kinds.
Everyone is welcome here, always.
