Every year at Kilminorth has its very own personality. Stories, guests and moments that stay with us long after the season ends. But 2025 felt particularly special. It was a year full of growth, creativity, laughter, dog zoomies, weddings, retreats, community and those unexpected little memories that remind us why we do what we do.
As the year winds down and we look towards an already exciting 2026, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the highlights that made 2025 unforgettable.
Weddings that filled our grounds with joy
Every wedding at Kilminorth feels different, and yet each one feels like it belongs here. Maybe it’s the woodland backdrop, the meadow views, or the way the cottages gather friends and family together like a tiny village. This year, we saw everything from intimate ceremonies to joyful celebrations that took full advantage of our open spaces.
Guests danced under the festoon lights, laughed around fire pits, popped champagne in the meadows, and created moments that will last a lifetime.

Retreats that helped people reconnect
2025 saw wellness retreats, creative workshops and nourishing getaways hosted across our grounds. From breathwork circles to women’s wellness weekends, yoga mornings, sound baths and mindful walks through the woodland, the estate became a sanctuary for people needing time to rest and realign.
Retreat guests tell us that Kilminorth feels grounding – a place where they can reconnect with themselves, nature and each other. Having 14 cottages on-site offers rare flexibility for retreat hosts, allowing groups to spread out yet stay close.
With 2026 already filling with more retreats, we can’t wait to support even more meaningful gatherings.

Events that brought the community together
2025 was full of events that brought people from all corners of Cornwall to Kilminorth.
Some of our personal favourites:
Summer Solstice Feast – A gorgeous banquet table set in the meadow, celebrating local flavours and the magic of the longest day.
RNLI Fundraiser – A gorgeous PROMS-style summer night filled with music, community spirit and fundraising for our local lifeboat crews
Outdoor Cinema Nights – Blankets, popcorn, dogs curled at people’s feet and the meadow lit by fairy lights.
Family Fun Days – Games, food, sunshine and children filling the space with laughter.
Dog Pool Parties – Possibly our most chaotic yet joyful events.
Each event had its own magic, but what made them special was always the same – the sense of community.

Kilminorth’s continuing sustainability journey
We’ve been quietly making changes year by year, and 2025 was no exception. We continued our rewilding efforts, we boosted our eco-friendly cleaning practices, and our beekeeping project flourished, producing our beautiful batch’s of TAS Honey.
We also continued reducing single-use plastics, refined our guest recycling systems, and expanded our wildlife protection efforts across our grounds. These choices are small individually, but together they shape the future we want for Kilminorth – a place that thrives in partnership with nature.

Dogs, dogs… and more dogs
We welcomed many four-legged guests, from tiny nervous pups to confident older dogs who strutted through the estate like they owned it. The dog stick library became a social hub. The meadow became a race track. The woodland became a sensory wonderland. If you visited us this year with a dog, thank you for letting us be part of their little adventure.

Looking ahead to 2026
While 2025 was wonderful, 2026 is shaping up to be even more exciting. Here’s a little of what’s coming:
Even more retreats – Wellness weekends, creative escapes, and corporate wellbeing breaks are already booking fast.
More sustainability projects – We’re continuing to build towards our Net Zero 2035 goal, with new site changes and environmental plans underway.
Community events return – Expect feasts, outdoor cinema, family days, and a few surprises.
More cottage upgrades – We’re making subtle yet meaningful improvements across our site.
Thank you for being part of Kilminorth’s story. Whether you stayed with us, attended an event, celebrated your wedding, joined a retreat, or simply followed along online – thank you. Kilminorth isn’t just a place; it’s a community of people (and pets) who bring the estate to life year after year.
