There comes a time when we realise we’ve been running on empty.
Doing all the things. Meeting all the expectations. Showing up for everyone – except ourselves.
Thryva is a one-day retreat designed as a soft landing. A sacred pause. A guided journey back to yourself.
Held at Kilminorth, Looe, Cornwall, this retreat is centred around one powerful theme: Coming Home to Safety and Strength.
It’s not about fixing yourself. It’s about returning to what’s already within you – quiet strength, deep knowing, and the right to feel safe in your body, your emotions, your story.
Why We Need To Come Home
For many women, life feels constantly in motion. The juggle of work, caregiving, responsibilities, and emotional labour can leave us feeling detached from our own needs – sometimes even our own identity.
We hold so much. And we carry it silently. Thryva is about putting that weight down.
It’s a retreat – but not in the fluffy, out-of-touch way. It’s grounded, thoughtful, trauma-aware, and gently powerful. A day to reflect, release, and remember who you are underneath the roles you play.
A Day That Feels Like Exhale
From the moment you arrive, you’re invited to slow down. Not perform. Not hustle. Just… arrive.
Thryva has been carefully designed to offer emotional safety as the starting point. This isn’t a wellness day about doing yoga or ticking a box. It’s about tending to the parts of you that need rest. Care. Space. Stillness. Strength.
Throughout the day, you’ll be guided through experiences that help you:
It’s not about pushing yourself. It’s about coming home to yourself.
Who Thryva Is For
Thryva is for women who feel like they’ve been stretched too thin for too long.
Women navigating stress, transitions, burnout, grief, menopause, identity shifts, or just the daily overwhelm of modern life.
You don’t need any experience in therapy, retreats, or self-development to attend. You don’t need to be a certain age or at a particular stage of life.
You just need to feel like something in you is asking for more space.
More slowness. More safety. More strength.
This is your invitation to listen to that voice, and respond.
The Theme: Safety and Strength
Everything about Thryva stems from this theme.
Safety is emotional, physical, and nervous-system based. You’ll learn how to build internal safety, so that even when the world outside feels uncertain, you know how to anchor within.
Strength isn’t about being stoic. It’s about resilience that’s rooted in self-trust, clarity, and compassion. Strength that’s honest, not performative.
This retreat gives you the space to explore both. To soften into safety. And rise into strength.
A Gentle Flow, Held By Experts
Throughout the day, you’ll be held by our experienced practitioner, Julie who truly understands the complexity of what women carry. Julie has dedicated her time in supporting others through mental health, trauma, leadership, and life’s messier moments.
You’re not just attending workshops. You’re being held—with skill, integrity, and care.
Connection Without Expectation
You can come alone. You can come with a friend. You’ll be welcomed either way.
One of the most beautiful aspects of Thryva is the sense of community it fosters – without pressure to share, overspeak, or reveal more than you want to. It’s connection, without demand. Quiet solidarity with other women who get it.
In a world full of noise, this retreat offers space to be seen – gently, fully, and without judgement.
Where the Magic Happens
Kilminorth is a space like no other. Surrounded by nature, peace, and open skies, it sets the perfect tone for rest and reconnection.
You’ll have access to tranquil grounds, nourishing vegetarian food, hot tubs, recovery areas, and the chance to stay overnight in self-catering cottages if you wish to extend your stay. It’s relaxed, beautiful, and thoughtfully done – no pretence, no pressure.
Just a space where you can breathe deeper, and let go.
Why Just One Day?
It’s easy to believe that transformation requires time we don’t have. But one well-held day can be enough to shift something fundamental.
At Thryva, that day is crafted – not crammed. You’ll move through creative expression, personal reflection, guided therapeutic tools, and deep rest. There’s space to learn, space to laugh, space to feel, and space to do absolutely nothing at all.
This isn’t about escaping your life. It’s about re-entering it with more clarity, calm, and confidence.
