This year at the Cornwall Tourism Awards, Kilminorth were awarded not one but two gold awards. We are so grateful and very proud to be the best for both Dog-Friendly Business of the Year and Wedding Venue of the Year 2023. 

We love that we can be both your home from home for the whole family – four-legged friends are very much welcome; and the perfect location in which to celebrate your wonderful wedding day with the people you love the most. 

As a wedding venue, we pride ourselves on being the ultimate destination for hosting incredible weddings, ensuring that your special day is not just celebrated, but beautifully curated with meticulous planning and attention to detail. Magical memories are made at Kilminorth! The location is naturally beautiful for photos and video – hosting an orchard, wild meadows, enchanting woodlands and spectacular countryside views – plenty of space for guests to explore on the day or to stay for a whole weekend. 

We currently offer Kilminorth for three-day weddings, one-day weddings, and for intimate elopement weddings.  

Three-Day Weddings

With a whole weekend to play with, you can plan an entire extravaganza, knowing our Events Manager is on hand to support all of your ideas and help make your dreams come true. We have seen so many wedding ideas over the years, including silent discos, cosy firepits with marshmallows and fireworks, summer garden parties with lawn games and relaxing woodland weekends with newly-joined families. With the whole site providing a wealth of options, the only limit is your imagination.

We have worked with a whole host of wonderful local businesses who we can recommend to help create the wedding spectacular you deserve.

One-Day Weddings

Kilminorth provides a beautiful selection of ceremony locations across the site as a cost-effective way to celebrate your special day in romantic and luxurious comfort. Your big moment can be hosted in our dreamy wild meadow, down at Marley’s bar, or in our beautifully Chy Hos, nestled within the historic countryside grounds. Our in-house caterers will create a fantastic feast for all your guests, coordinated by our experienced events manager. You and your guests have full access to the site from 11am on your wedding day, and we can accommodate up to 250 guests – plus their dogs! 

We currently have a one-day wedding offer for 8^th June 2024, which includes the venue hire, wedding marquee, commercial kitchen, free car parking, a dedicated wedding planner and 2 venue staff all for just £2750. Elopement Weddings

Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Kilminorth provides a peaceful, private destination for a romantic intimate or elopement wedding. Weddings need not be big to be memorable, and our beautifully converted cottages are warm and inviting for you and your closest loved ones to celebrate together. Smaller weddings are becoming ever more popular, and we would love to be part of your story. 

We offer a choice of venues within the grounds for your private ceremony – our wild English meadow, Marley’s Bar, at the Chy Hos or within one of our cosy Cornish cottages. We have 14 self-catering cottages from which to host your own reception dinner and explore the grounds for capturing some magical photographic moments of your day. Your dedicated wedding planner can help you organise external caterers, or if you wish, you can discuss using our in-house catering team who would be more than honoured to provide a wonderful reception feast. 

All dogs are welcome at weddings here at Kilminorth, and for your cosy holiday stay too! 

As gold winners for Dog-Friendly Business of the Year 2023, we love welcoming your four-legged friends. When booking a relaxing family holiday or private getaway, let us know if pup will be a guest so we can welcome you all properly with a doggy welcome pack. We love that dogs can feel at home with us, with access to a doggy shower, treats at Marley’s Bar and 32 acres of dog walking wonderland. Our 13 dog-friendly cottages are a brilliant base from which to explore the Cornish countryside and coastline.  

Kilminorth is also fortunate to be located close to a wonderful selection of pup friendly places to enjoy together. The Cornish coastline is notorious for its natural beauty and unspoilt beaches. Lantic Bay, Talland Beach and Downderry are amongst the most beautiful dog-friendly beaches in the UK, and the picturesque village of Looe is just a 40 minute walk from our site, making for a wonderful route to explore on a fine day. 

This part of the southwest is very dog-welcoming, so you will find plenty of places in which to enjoy coffees and lunches with dog treats on the menu. Some of our favourite nearby villages aside from Looe are Polperro, Fowey and Padstow. 

Our heritage properties, historic grounds and ancient woodlands make for an unforgettable retreat with your four-legged companions.
