Every good stay has a place people naturally drift towards.
Somewhere for a quiet drink after a day exploring Cornwall. Somewhere to sit while the children play nearby. Somewhere for the dogs to stretch their legs, chase a tennis ball and make themselves completely at home. Somewhere you can pause, look out across the valley and feel that lovely Kilminorth sense of calm settle in. At Kilminorth, that place is Marley’s Bar.
Tucked into the heart of the site, Marley’s is one of those spaces that feels relaxed from the moment you arrive. It is not polished in a way that makes you feel you need to sit up straight or speak quietly. It is not trying too hard. It simply does what Kilminorth does best, bringing people together in a way that feels easy, warm and welcoming.

One of the loveliest things about Marley’s Bar is the view. Overlooking the valley, it gives you that beautiful Kilminorth backdrop while still feeling close to everything happening around you. You can sit with a drink, watch the light change over the trees, listen to the sounds of the site around you and take a moment to properly switch off. It is the kind of spot that works at any pace.
Fancy a chat? There is usually a member of the team nearby, always happy to talk all things Kilminorth, Cornwall, beaches, walks, places to eat, where to visit, or what to do if the weather decides to be typically Cornish. Our team know the area well, and we love helping guests make the most of their stay. Fancy a quiet drink instead? Absolutely. Marley’s is just as good for that. Sometimes all you need is a cold beer, something sparkling, a soft drink, a view across the valley and a bit of peace.

That is the beauty of it. Marley’s does not demand anything from you. It is there for whatever kind of moment you need. For families, it is a brilliant little hub. The trampoline is close enough that the children can be in sight, but tucked away enough that it does not ruin your view or take over the space. Parents can sit, relax, chat, have a drink and still keep an eye on the little ones. It is exactly the sort of balance that makes holidays easier. Children feel like they have freedom, grown-ups get a little breathing room, and everyone is still together.
There is also the table tennis table, perfect for a casual game, a slightly competitive family tournament, or one of those “just one more rally” moments that somehow carries on for half an hour. Marley’s is made for those simple holiday extras. Nothing complicated, just easy things to enjoy while you are here.
And then, of course, there are the dogs.
Dogs are very much part of the Kilminorth experience, and Marley’s Bar is no exception. We have the dog tennis ball box, ready for those who never tire of chasing, fetching and proudly returning with a ball that may or may not now belong to them forever. We also have the dog stick library, because apparently some sticks are simply too good not to be shared. With plenty of open space around, dogs can enjoy being part of the atmosphere too. Tails wagging, paws padding past, owners chatting, children laughing, someone calling their dog back from making a new best friend. It all adds to the relaxed, homely feel that makes Kilminorth what it is.

Marley’s Bar is also stocked with your favourites, whether you are after a soft drink, a cold beer, something sparkling, or simply a little treat at the end of the day. It is not about creating a formal bar experience. It is about giving guests somewhere lovely to gather, unwind and enjoy the setting.
While we would love to give set opening times for Marley’s Bar, the Cornish weather does like to keep us on our toes. Sunshine one minute, drizzle the next, and then somehow back to blue skies just in time for a drink with a view. Because Marley’s is an outdoor, relaxed part of the Kilminorth experience, we open it when the weather allows and when it feels right for guests to properly enjoy it. After all, Marley’s is best enjoyed when you can sit back, take in the valley, let the dogs wander, watch the children play and settle into that easy holiday feeling.
So, while you are staying with us, just keep an eye out. If Marley’s is open, we will let you know. And if you are wondering whether it will be open during your stay, come and ask one of the team. We are always happy to point you in the right direction.

Marley’s Bar is open… just keep an eye whilst you’re here.
When it’s closed, it’s closed, no trick to the game, But when it’s open, we’ll let you know all the same.
Soft drinks, cold beers, something sparkling too,
A game of table tennis, a rally or two.
Dogs racing past, tails wagging away,
While you sit back and drift through your stay.
So if you’re wondering when to pop by the bar,
Just come and ask us, wherever you are.
During your stay, we’ll point you the way…
And let you know when we’re open that day.
For those staying in the cottages, Marley’s can become a little part of your daily routine. A drink after a beach day. A quick game of table tennis before dinner. A place to sit while the children bounce on the trampoline. A stop-off after walking the dog. A chat with the team about where to go tomorrow. A moment to look out across the valley and realise you have properly relaxed.
For wedding guests, Marley’s brings another lovely layer to the stay. It gives people somewhere to gather before or after the big day, especially when family and friends are staying on-site together. Weddings at Kilminorth are never just about one room or one moment. They are about the whole experience, and Marley’s adds to that sense of togetherness.
It is easy to picture guests drifting over for a drink, old friends catching up, dogs weaving between chairs, children playing nearby and everyone settling into the atmosphere before the celebrations begin. Those are the moments that make Kilminorth feel so personal.
For event days, Marley’s also helps create that relaxed community feel. Whether it is music, food, fundraising or family fun, having a bar at the heart of the site gives people somewhere to pause, gather and enjoy the day a little longer.

It is one of those spaces that quietly does a lot. It gives guests somewhere to meet. It gives families somewhere to relax. It gives dogs somewhere to be included. It gives children something nearby to enjoy. It gives the team a chance to chat with guests. It gives everyone a reason to slow down for a moment. And really, that is what Marley’s Bar is all about.
It is not just about drinks. It is about the feeling around them. The view, the space, the company, the dogs, the games, the conversations and the easy rhythm of a Kilminorth stay.
So, while you are here, keep an eye out.
Ask us when Marley’s is open.
Bring the dog, bring the children, bring your competitive table tennis spirit, or simply bring yourself for a quiet drink overlooking the valley.
