Some love stories take their time – and Hayley and Jake’s was well worth the wait. From a fleeting secondary school kiss to reconnecting years later on a night out, their story came full circle in the most beautiful way, with a three-day wedding celebration here at Kilminorth.

Hayley had always dreamed of a multi-day wedding after experiencing a stateside celebration packed with festivities. So when it came time to plan her own, she knew it had to be somewhere that could offer space, freedom, and a true sense of occasion. That’s where we came in.

Their weekend kicked off in true laid-back Kilminorth style with a Friday night pizza party – made even more magical by a lucky glimpse of the Northern Lights over the Cornish skies. It was the perfect start to a joyful and colourful weekend.

On Saturday, our Chy Hos was Hayley and Jake’s dreamy al fresco ceremony space. As guests took their seats, they were serenaded by a live singer, and as Hayley walked down the aisle to Fleetwood Mac’s Songbird, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. One of our favourite moments? The couple’s joyful dip as they walked back up the aisle to Signed, Sealed, Delivered – an unforgettable photo and memory.

The styling was as vibrant and heartfelt as the couple themselves – think lush florals in oranges and pinks, a neutral bridal party palette, and our clear-top marquee decked out with festoon lights, peonies and greenery. Hayley and Jake made a spectacular entrance into the marquee to Freed from Desire, met by guests waving napkins in the air and dancing like nobody was watching – a true Kilminorth moment of uninhibited joy.

One thoughtful touch that really set the tone was a personalised message at every guest’s place setting – a total surprise that sparked smiles and conversations all afternoon.

After a feast of slow-cooked BBQ pork belly, mac and cheese, crispy potatoes, slaw, and summer salads, guests made a beeline for the doughnut wall before hitting the dance floor for an emotional first dance to Champagne Supernova – a track that holds special meaning for Hayley and Jake.

The weekend ended with a slow Sunday surrounded by loved ones, relaxed and sun-drenched, with everyone soaking in the afterglow of what was truly a magical wedding.
